What is PCOS? PCOS is a condition which affects the ovaries, characterised by irregular periods and other features such as weight gain, acne and facial hair and is associated with an increased risk of certain conditions such as diabetes.
We have recently changed the way in which we monitor anyone with a diagnosis with PCOS to ensure that you get regular monitoring tests. This will be done with a yearly check-up, usually scheduled in the same month as your date of birth. The appointment will involve blood tests and some quick questions and measurements.
